A city of historic park squares, elegant fountains, moss-draped live oaks and a profusion of spring flowers, Savannah welcomes spring with several annual celebrations. From March until May, visitors are able to enjoy an array of events, beginning with Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Celebration, the city's largest annual celebration and the second largest in the nation.

Other fun spring events include:

  • The Annual Spring Tour of Homes in late March - Featuring a different historic neighborhood each day of the tour

  • The Savannah Music Festival from late March into early April - One of the largest music festivals in the Southeast

  • The NOGS Tour of Homes and Gardens in mid April - The popular North of Gaston Street annual tour, sponsored by the Garden Club of Savannah

  • The Savannah Scottish Games in May - Bringing the best of the Highlands to Savannah
For dates and information about these and other spring festivals visit, Georgia - Spring Festivals, Special Events and Spring Celebrations.

Beginning in March, many visitors enjoy First Saturday on the River, held the first Saturday of each month along historic River Street featuring arts and crafts, entertainment and fun for all ages. More River Street fun takes place on the first Friday of each month during First Friday Fireworks on the River.
