Granite Inscription Walls

Two granite inscription walls are located at each end of the main lawn.

The walls are made of Jet Mist granite from a quarry in Culpepper, Virginia with outer inscription panels made from Absolute Black granite. Absolute Black granite comes from Africa and is the purest black granite found on earth.

The two Inscription Walls honor:

  • The south wall honors Air Force values and accomplishments.

  • The north wall honors the valor and sacrifices made by so many Air Force men and women.
