Location of the Memorial

The United States Air Force Memorial site is located on a promontory overlooking the Pentagon adjacent to Arlington Cemetery and the Naval Annex in Arlington, Virginia. Following some controversy over the initial site near the United States Marine Memorial, this final site was selected partly because of its spectacular views of Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area.

Directions to the Memorial

From Columbia Pike (VA-244), the Memorial will be visible on the left at One Air Force Memorial Drive, Arlington, VA, 22204.

Public Transportation to the Memorial

Take the Blue or Yellow Lines on the Metrorail to the Pentagon Station in Arlington, Virginia. From the Pentagon Metro Station, take bus line 16G, 16H, 16K or 16W to the Navy Annex stop, which is a short ride. The Memorial will be at One Air Force Memorial Drive, Arlington, VA, 22204.
