The Smithsonian Institution, with 19 museums and galleries and the National Zoo, is the world's largest museum and research complex. Smithsonian Journeys, one of the vast number of programs presented by the Smithsonian Institution, is an educational travel program with more than 250 annual tours that cater to an expansive range of interests, making it the largest and most diverse museum-based educational travel program in the world. All tours are led by experts, who are carefully selected to provide a blend cultural insights, personal attention, and fun for exceptional and exciting educational travel experiences.

Each year, among the worldwide educational experiences offered by Smithsonian Journeys, there are several intriguing trips offered to destinations in the Southeast U.S. If you are interested in a tour that has already occurred, don't despair.
