Atlanta welcomes the New Year with a full day of family fun, beginning with children's activities at 11 a.m., and an evening of top-notch entertainment at the annual New Year's Eve Peach Drop. Attracting over 100,000 New Year's Eve revelers to countdown as the 800 pound Georgia Peach descends the 138 foot light tower, the Peach Drop is the largest New Year's Eve celebration in the Southeast.
The annual Chick-Fil-A Bowl (formerly known as the Peach Bowl) is played on New Year's Eve at the Georgia Dome.
