Several of the ski resorts in the Southeast will ring in the New Year with special celebrations. Here are a few ideas for welcoming 2010 on and off of the slopes:

Appalachian Ski Mtn New Year's Eve Extravaganza

Snowshoe Mountain - New Year's Eve Bash

Sugar Mountain Resort - New Year's Celebration

Ring in the New Year mountain style with a torch light parade and fireworks at midnight, plus several fun indoor festivities. Parade and fireworks are free of charge to the general public, however a fee and reservations are required for the indoor celebrations and should be made in early December by calling 828-898-4521 ext 233. New Year's Eve at Timberline Four Seasons Resort
