Palmetto Hall Plantation is located in the central-northern end of Hilton Head Island near Hilton Head Plantation and Port Royal Plantation. Although it is a historic area, the residential community is one of the newer developments on Hilton Head Island. Shipyard Plantation, on the other hand, is situated at the south end of Hilton Head Island in one of the most popular and convenient resort rental areas. The Shipyard Golf Club is near the popular Crowne Plaza Resort.
