West Virginia Sales Tax Holidays

2009 Sales Tax Holiday Information - September 1 - November 30, 2009 - 3 months

During the West Virginia statewide Energy Star Sales Tax Holiday, the state sales and use tax will not be imposed on certain Energy Star qualified products valued at $5000 or less and bearing the Energy Star label including:

  • Clothes washers
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers
  • Computers, computer software, printers and printer supplies
  • Room AC and room air cleaners
  • Battery charging systems
  • Televisions, VCR's, DVD products, digital-to-analog converter boxes, home audio and combination units
  • Compact fluorescent light bulbs and fixtures
