Known as America's Lighthouse, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is located within Cape Hatteras National Seashore on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. A must see icon for lighthouse, maritime and history enthusiasts, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the most visited attractions on the Atlantic seaboard. The Visitor Center and grounds are open year-round. Climbing is permitted from the third Friday in April through Columbus Day.
