Basye, Virginia - Shenandoah Valley
Originally a summer retreat, Bryce Resort opened its ski slopes in the 1960's. Now a popular all-season resort, Bryce Resort operates eight slopes served by two chairlifts, one surface lift and two carpet lifts. Trails include beginner, intermediate and advanced classifications and a new snow tubing park features 800 foot long tubing lanes. For a change of pace, golf is offered all year, weather permitting.

An all season resort, Massanutten offers skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing during the winter. Massanutten's 14 trails include beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, plus the Massanutten Terrain Park has a main park for snowboards, twin-tip skis, and snowblades as well an area for beginners. The Peaked Mountain Express Tubing Park, the first in Virginia, is a popular attraction as well. Seven lifts provide access to the trails.

A premier all season luxury resort, The Homestead's nine downhill ski runs and snowboard park offer a good family destination for novice skiing and family winter fun. An 11,000-acre all season resort, Wintergreen is located adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway in picturesque central Virginia.
