Blowing Rock, North Carolina - Blue Ridge Mountains

Located in quaint Blowing Rock, North Carolina in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Appalachian Ski Mtn is a family oriented resort. The resort features ten slopes, which are accessed by two quad chairlifts, one double chairlift, one conveyor lift, and one handle pull lift. The longest run, Orchard Run is one-half mile long. There are two terrain parks and a 6000 square foot outdoor ice skating arena. All of the slopes provide night lighting for Night Skiing.

Maggie Valley, North Carolina - Bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Easily reached from I-40, Cataloochee Ski Area is located in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Skiers and snowboarders may choose from ten slopes and trails with a 25 percent beginner, 50 percent intermediate and 25 percent advanced to expert mix. The five lift systems include one each double, triple and quad chairlifts plus two moving carpet surface lifts. Cat Cage Terrain Park offers snowboarding fun with ramps, rails an boxes. Snow tubing is available at nearby Tube World.

Hawksnest
Seven Devils, North Carolina (between Boone and Banner Elk) - Blue Ridge Mountains

Centrally located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Hawknest offers 12 slopes for skiing and snowboarding with a terrain mix of 20 percent beginner, 40 percent intermediate and 40 percent advanced. Two double chairlifts and one surface lift serve the slopes. In addition, Hawksnest offers a large snow tubing park with eight 1000-foot lanes.
