Popular Attractions - Stone Mountain Park is open year-round, although many of the attractions are seasonal. If you are planning a visit, it is best to check the park schedule to find out which attractions will be operating. Some of the most popular attractions include:

Lasershow Spectacular - The 45-minute laser and fireworks show combines light, special effects and music. For a good seat, arrive early and pack a picnic to enjoy while waiting for the show to begin.

The Crossroads Area - A reproduction 1870s town full of southern charm offers demonstration glass blowing, candle making, candy making and more. Several attractions located within this area include:
  • Tall Tales of the South 4D Theater

  • The Scenic Rail Road for a relaxing ride around the mountain (with entertainment)

  • Sky Hike for a trek through the treetops

  • The Great Barn with more than 65 interactive games, climbing structures, trampoline floors and more

  • Live shows and entertainment
Museums - Enjoy several self-guided museum tours:
  • The Discovering Stone Mountain Museum at Memorial Hall - Learn more about Stone Mountain on a self-guided tour.

  • Confederate Hall Historical and Environmental Education Center - Explore 5,400 square feet of interactive exhibit and gallery space to learn about the geology and ecology of the area.
  • Antique Car and Treasure Museum - Browse the vintage collection of cars and other memorabilia.
Antebellum Plantation and Farmyard - Explore life in the 1800s on self-guided tours of 19 period decorated buildings, plus a Farmyard with live animals.

Confederate Memorial Carving - Depicting President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson, this enormous carving extends across the side of the mountain and is larger than a football field. It was started in 1923 and, due to various delays, was not finished until 1972.
