Tour the first and second floors of the candlelit Washington Mansion and meet First Lady Martha Washington at this popular annual holiday event. Caroling, free cookies and hot cider around a roaring campfire on the grounds add to the festivities.

This is the only time during the year that George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate is open exclusively for public evening tours. Holiday shopping hours are extended until 9 p.m.

    Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings: November 27, 28 and 29; December 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13.
  • Location:
    Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens, 3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Highway, Mount Vernon, Virginia

    From 5 - 8 p.m.
  • Admission:
    $18 for adults and $12 for children 11 and under.

    Starting November 1, tickets may be purchased at Mount Vernon's Ford Orientation Center, or at MountVernon.org.
