Irish eyes will be smiling and may just steal your heart away during the month of March in the Southeast at some of the best St. Patrick's Day celebrations anywhere. From Savannah's mega multi-day celebration, the second largest in the United States, to the World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, these St. Patrick's Day parades, festivals and special events offer lots of Irish-themed fun for all ages.

When is St. Patrick's Day? - St. Patrick's Day is March 17th, although many parades and festivals take place during the weekends before and after the actual date, especially when the date falls on a weekday.

Arkansas St. Patrick's Day Celebrations
  • The World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade
    Monday, March 17, 2014 - Hot Springs, Arkansas
    Always held on March 17th, this quirky parade follows a 98-foot long route along historic Bridge Street. The parade, which lasts about one hour is followed by a street dance and entertainment. The parade steps off at 11 A.M. at Tryon and 9th street in uptown Charlotte and marches South on Tryon and 3rd Streets, featuring local bagpipe bands, Irish dancers, floats and more. The festival, located on S. Tryon St. between 1st and 3rd Streets, features Irish music, dancers, bagpipers, food and plenty of beverages. Festival hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
