• Winyah Bay Heritage Festival

This inaugural festival will celebrate the waterfowl decoy carving heritage of the South Carolina Low Country.


• Battle of Cowpens Anniversary Celebration

January 19 - 20, 2008 at Cowpens National Battlefield in South Carolina.
Scheduled events include living history encampments, demonstrations and lantern walks.


• The Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival at Boone Hall Plantation

January 27, 2008 in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina (near Charleston)
Activities include an oyster shucking contest, an oyster eating contest, local live entertainment and more. With 65,000 pounds of oysters on hand, this event is not to be missed by oyster lovers.
