    This annual musical marathon showcases indigenous music from a diverse range of musical styles.


  • International Cherry Blossom Festival - Macon
    March 28 – April 6, 2008

    Held when Macon's 300,000 Yoshino cherry trees are in bloom, this annual festival features parades, fireworks displays, nightly concerts, a dazzling Hot Air Balloon Fest including a twilight Balloon Glow and much more.


  • Atlanta Dogwood Festival - Atlanta
    April 4 - 6, 2008

    A favorite springtime tradition in the Southeast, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is a celebration of arts and entertainment. Events and activities include non-stop live entertainment, a professionally juried arts Festival featuring more than 200 top artists and craftsmen, one of the largest Frisbee Dog events in the nation, an interactive zone for kids and so much more.

  • Robert Osborne's Classic Film Fest - Athens
    April 10 - 13, 2008

    Robert Osborne, the prime time host of Turner Classic Movies and columnist for The Hollywood Reporter, presents classic films to be seen the way they were meant to be seen. The selected movies for 2008 include: Young Frankenstein, Notorious, Journey to Center of the Earth, African Queen, Lawrence of Arabia, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, The Way We Were and The King and I. Schedule is subject to change.


  • Blessing of the Fleet - Darien
    April 11 – 13, 2008

    This three-day festival celebrates the blessing of the oldest shrimp fleet in Georgia and includes live entertainment, arts and crafts vendor, antiques, fireworks, a parade, events for kids, derby, tricycle and duck races plus more.


  • Georgia Renaissance Festival - Fairburn
    Located just minutes south of Atlanta near Exit 61 of I-85
    April 12 - June 1, 2008: Saturdays and Sundays plus Memorial Day

    The eagerly awaited Georgia Renaissance Festival features eight weeks of weekend spring fun including colorfully costumed performers and nonstop entertainment, a 32-acre Artisan Market, thrilling rides and games, parades, great food, jousting contests, period activities and more.

    April 19 - 27, 2008

    With over 600,000 square feet of display space, this exciting auto show is one of the ten largest shows in the nation.


  • Tour de Georgia - More than 600 miles of racing with 12 Host Venues throughout Georgia
    April 21 - 27, 2008

    North America's premier, professional cycling event and rolling festival, the Tour de Georgia, is an annual, multi-day, professional cycling stage race that features some of the best national and international cycling teams through many of Georgia's large and small towns.


  • Annual Rose Show and Festival - Thomasville
    April 24 - 26, 2008

    This annual festival, held each year beginning on the fourth Friday in April, includes parades, live music, food, sporting events, arts and crafts, an elegant plantation ball, a family-oriented street dance and, of course, beautiful roses.


  • Georgia Strawberry Festival - Reynolds
    April 25 - 26, 2008

    Enjoy dinner and gospel music on Friday evening and a day of fun at the Strawberry Festival on Saturday. Festival events include a Teddy Bear Parade, the Trae Chevrolet Grand Parade featuring antique cars and tractors, over 100 selected artists and craftsmen, a Strawberry Cook-off, Lawn Mover Races, live entertainment and more.


  • Twilight Criterium and Festival - Athens
    April 25 - 26, 2008

    The Twilight Criterium attracts a crowd of over 30,000 spectators as well as some of cycling’s top racing stars to the streets of Athens, Georgia each year. It is a favorite spot on the national cycling tour circuit, both for its unique evening format and a full range of festival activities.


  • Vidalia Onion Festival - Vidalia
    April 25 - 27, 2008

    In anticipation of the harvest of the Vidalia Sweet Onion, this annual festival held during the last weekend in April includes a street dance, onion eating contest, rodeo, Onion Fun Run, children’s parade, air show, fireworks, the Vidalia Onion Arts and Craft Festival (April 28th and 29th) and more.   • Inman Park Spring Festival and Tour of Homes - Atlanta
    April 26 - 27, 2008

    This Atlanta neighborhood festival and home tour, held during the last full weekend in April each year, features Atlanta's biggest street market, a juried arts and crafts show, a popular parade lead by the Inman Park Butterfly, live entertainment, food and beverage vendors, activities for kids and more.
