The following selected events include some of Georgia's most popular festivals as well as a few smaller unique events, offering fun for all ages.

March Festivals, Special Events and Celebrations

  • Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale - U.S. Highway 341 from Culloden to Jekyll Island
    March 14 - 16, 2008

    This more than 200-mile yard sale takes place each spring along U.S. Highway 341, which runs through the heart of Georgia.


  • St. Patrick's Day Events - Various Venues
    March 17, 2008

    Find out about several fun St. Patrick's Day events taking place throughout the Southeastern United States, on and around March 17, 2008.


  • Savannah Music Festival - Savannah
    March 20 - April 5, 2008

    One of the largest music festivals in the Southeast, this annual musical marathon showcases indigenous music from the Deep South, originally conceived chamber music and internationally renowned musicians performing a diverse range of musical styles including symphonic music, blues, jazz, gospel, chamber music, bluegrass, rock, international music and dance styles.


  • Spring Celebration at Callaway Gardens - Pine Mountain
    March 22 - April 20, 2008

    Each of the five Spring Celebration weeks features a unique theme for enjoying the natural beauty and breathtaking spring blossoms at Callaway Gardens. Hands-on activities, educational experiences, guided hikes and much more offer spring fun at its best for all ages.


  • Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens
    March 27 – 30, 2008

    The Annual Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens offers visitors the chance to tour private homes and gardens in a variety of different Savannah neighborhoods. Each day of the tour a new neighborhood is featured for three hours, during which visitors may enjoy self-guided tours in any order at a comfortable individual pace.


  • International Cherry Blossom Festival - Macon
    March 28 – April 6, 2008

    Held when Macon's 300,000 Yoshino cherry trees are in bloom, this annual festival features parades, exciting air shows, historic tours, fireworks displays, nightly concerts, arts and crafts, amusement rides, an International Food Fair, and a dazzling Hot Air Balloon Fest including a twilight Balloon Glow and much more.


  • Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival - Conyers
    March 29 - 30, 2008

    Held at the Georgia International Horse Park, this exciting annual event features local and international music and dance, over 300 arts and crafts vendor booths, food, games and ongoing entertainment for all ages.
