Fall for Birds on the North Carolina Birding Trail

Monday September 14, 2009
Home to more than 460 bird species, from the coastal plain, across the Piedmont region to the mountains of the state, North Carolina attracts birders and naturalists of all levels. The North Carolina Birding Trail is a driving trail developed to provide a convenient network of connecting birding sites. As of summer 2009, the Trail extends across the entire state. To help with planning your travel itinerary, nearby points of interest found along the way are noted, including historic and scenic sites, tours and guides, events and more.
