Jockey's Ridge State Park - The Living Dune

Jockey's Ridge State Park, located in the town of Nags Head on the North Carolina Outer Banks, is a fascinating 420-acre park and recreational area where visitors are able to explore the highest sand dunes on the entire Atlantic coast. Consisting of three peaks, this constantly shifting ridge is often referred to as The Living Dune. A great spot for hang gliding, other popular activities at Jockey's Ridge State Park include windsurfing, hiking, picnicking and more.
