Monday July 6, 2009
Plan a Shopping Getaway for Tax Free Savings - During 2009, Sales Tax Holidays for certain items are taking place in 15 U.S. states, plus the District of Columbia. Nine of the participating states are located in the Southeast U.S.

Sales Tax Holidays dates and tax free items vary from state to state, although eight of the participating southeastern states are offering back-to-school tax free shopping in late July or early August. In addition, some states have scheduled additional Sales Tax Holidays in other months for energy-saving shopping or hurricane preparedness supplies.
