Visit historic Mount Vernon's 18th-Century Craft Fair to see artisans in period dress demonstrating 18th-century crafts and selling traditional wares, or head to Old Town Alexandria, where King Street from Washington Street to Union Street will become an outdoor art gallery during the Alexandria Festival of the Arts.
For a wonderful family outing, kids of all ages will enjoy the International Children's Festival at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia (tickets required), featuring performers from China, Finland, Ghana, Jordan, and more.
