Thunder Over Louisville - The Kentucky Derby Festival

Thunder Over Louisville, a dazzling day-long extravaganza, marks the beginning of two fun-filled weeks of events during the annual Kentucky Derby Festival. Attracting over 500,000 spectators, Thunder roars through the sky, starting at 3 p.m., with more than 100 planes, aerobatics and sky diving teams, breathtaking stunts and more. At night, Thunder lights up the sky and the Ohio River below with the largest annual pyrotechnic display in North America, beginning at 9:30 p.m.
