The National Gingerbread House Competition

Friday December 7, 2007
For the past 15 years, gingerbread architects and artists have been drawn to the National Gingerbread House Competition held annually at the Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in Asheville, North Carolina. This unique and delightful competition has become a favorite holiday tradition at the Grove Park Inn, with over 300 hopeful entrants from points near and far for 2007. The competition is divided into three categories: adults, teens and youth.

The charming gingerbread creations may be viewed by the public Monday through Thursday, and any day by resort guests, until early January. In mid December, the Grand Prize winning entry and a selection of other entries will be transported to New York City to appear on Good Morning America. If you have a chance to visit Asheville during the holidays, an outing to the Grove Park Inn to admire the charming display is sure to add plenty of smiles to your holidays.
