Explore Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

Saturday August 25, 2007
The black and white candy-cane spiraled Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, known as America's Lighthouse, is one of the most recognized landmarks in the United States and one of the most popular attractions on the Atlantic coast. Fall, after the crowds of summer have gone, is a wonderful time to explore Cape Hatteras Lighthouse as well as other lighthouses and some of the many other interesting attractions of the Outer Banks. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Climbing Tours remain open through Columbus Day and the Visitor Center is open year-round.
